We have been going through changes the past few weeks but we have some very exciting things coming up. We are making some major equipment upgrades in the very near future so make sure to take notice in the production quality of the show taking a big leap. We will probably be talking about it on the show and playing with the new equipment like big kids with new big toys anyways so it will be hard to miss. Also make sure to check out the News section a bit more as we will be updating this regularly and may or may not have a few live events coming up. So for now just sit back, have a few cold ones, and enjoy the show! Cheers!

This collection of summer brews was quite interesting. We all had high hopes for these brews, high hopes that were then taken and lined up, blindfolded, and shot by a firing squad. Yes these beers were not good by any means, but they weren't ALL bad either. There was 1 that escaped the execution but sadly it was not an exceptional brew itself. But it was just good enough to outshine the latter. With that being said, go ahead and watch the new episode to find out which one I'm talking about =) Make sure to check us out on iTunes also! Until then, Cheers!

This assorted collection of not so tasty brew dogs was brought to you by a never ending desire to punish ourselves. To know what shitty beer tastes like, we had to experience it personally. Remember, someone out there likes this stuff. And with just 1 dollar a day we can buy them a decent six pack at the end of every week for the rest of their life. These beers were nothing but cold filtered dog vomit in a bottle(and 1 of them was in a can) They were terrible. They were disgusting. They were skunked. They were church wine. These beers are the worst of the worst. (until next time we do WOTW)

Once again Bombay Wines has been gracious enough to let us try some very freshly imported brews before they hit the shelves. This selection was very interesting and thankfully enough they are on the shelves now so you can go and pick up some yourself to try out. Watch the show for the full review!! And as always, bottoms up!

This week we got a helping hand from the Schmaltz Brewing Co. and got to try some of their tasty crafts.
We had a mixed bag on this show but it ended up being a pleasant surprise for us all. Thanks again to the folks at Schmaltz who were kind enough to send up this awesome sampler package! Watch or listen to the show for our full reviews! Also make sure to check us out on iTunes. CHEERS!

This week was a sponsored show brought to you by Sprecher Brewing Company. They were kind enough to give us a wide variety of their selection. This was a fun episode for us all. We had plenty of randomness and distractions but our aim was true. We loved the beer and couldn't talk about much else. Check out the episode for our full review. CHEERS!

Now I know what your thinking, why in the hell would I watch a beer club show about NA's, Well this was Joey's pick and we forgave him for it already. This wasn't my favorite episode to film but as always we had fun. This time we did the roundup a little bit different and not only rating the beer on overall taste but as well as how close it was to tasting like its alcoholic counterpart. We were all a little surprised with the turnout of some of these. And for the record. Fuck you buckler.
This was a complete blast! Thank you Schlafly for making these amazing brews! This is truly going to be a hard episode to top. Thank you again to Kent Prinster for hosting the show at his bar "Kent's Tavern"! As you might expect, this was a tough episode to pick a beer that was the best. Schlafly makes some fantastic products and it was really a photo finish for alot of us to pick one that we would call our favorite for the night.Tune in for the full show
Cheers!
This was one of my personal favorite nights we have had so far. I have a slight obsession with Southern Tier and tonight made this love affair so much harder. These were all truly delicious brew dogs. Thank you to Joeys father who will by request remain nameless. In his own words "I don want anyone to know I had you guys over here drinking" I couldn't tell if he was ashamed of us or was just worried about being associated with some young punks who shoot the shit over a couple brews and for some reason video tape it. Either way, it was an awesome experience being there. Thank you again!
Cheers!
This week Bradley came up with the fantastic idea to get our most hated beer ever. Joey had picked up Moosehead Lager from up north where the free health care is. I had picked up one of the most offensive brews I could find as well so I brought some much hated Steel Reserve. And Bradley brought one of the biggest bombs of them all, Grolsch. This was not our finest moment, but we had fun and we hope that you will take our advice and never try any of these not so tastey brews.
Cheers!

This week we teamed up with Garage Brewers Society to try some of the long awaited home brews that we've been talking about for so long. Garage brewers is a great local organization for home brewing hobbyists. And this week they were kind enough to let us try 6 of their home brews that their members had concocted over the past couple months. This was a great episode and one of our favorites we have done so far. We all had a really great time, learned a lot about beer, and look forward to teaming up with garage brewers in the future for more amazing home brews.
I wish there was a way I could express to you all that are listening just how amazing these beers were. Unless you live in St. Louis county or surrounding areas you wont be able to get to try these just yet. Hopefully in the future we can work out some sort of legal shipping method to have you all try some of these amazing brews. Until then, you will just have to listen to us rave about them and be jealous that you can't have any. =)
Cheers!
Yes I know we have said this before. But this time were sticking to our guns. We had some scheduling troubles the last time around and also our previous sound tech had bailed on us. Seeing as none of us know a lot of sound equipment or recording, we didn't have alot of other options but to cancel. But this time ladies and gentleman we are going to go for broke. Not ONLY will we be doing a live podcast, we will also be doing a video podcast AND streaming the live audio and video over the net. Technology these days. Crazyness.
Anywho, we invite you and all of your friends to come on up and watch us. There will also be a drink special so you can drink the beers we drink, with us. That way you can truly judge if we know what the hell were talking about or not, because we honestly never know! We just use this whole thing as an excuse to drink on a Sunday night!
So come on out. Guaranteed to be a good time. If you come and don't have a good time, we will let you throw tomatoes at us. Well....I will let you throw bad vegetables at the rest of the people on the podcast. You can't throw them at me though
Cheers!
This was our long not so much looked forward to Halloween episode. We knew from the begging this night was going to be nothing more than absolute mayhem. And oh god how correct we were. We all started off picking names from a hate then attempting to imitate the person we chose. It was absolute madness. But about half an hour into the podcast we all got bored of the concept and decided to ditch it and just have some fun trying the beer. We have all had these before, but we all loved them. So we just say around and knocked out a few beers that we have been overlooking reviews for quite some time.
Cheers!
This week we did the Michelob Craftbrewers Pack! This was a very interesting night that had some pretty heavy conversation about Anheuser Busch and the Michelob variety pack. All of these were terrific beers and we had some pretty fun reviews with this selection. Congratulations to Anheuser Busch on this successful new enterprise. And last but certainly not least, Thank you very much to Anheuser Busch for sponsoring this episode and supporting us. We all really appreciate your support and we hope we can return the favor to you with our reviews. So until the next episode.
Cheers from all of us here at St. Louis Beer Club!
This episode is all about Seasonals and Oktoberfest brews! We had a pretty interesting selection this week. It was almost a dead split between things we had never tried and things we had. It was rather odd when we went to pick up beer. Even though its the season we had a hard time finding enough decent pumpkin beers and oktoberfest beers. We may revise this episode a little bit later in the season since it's a little unfair to compare the two beers. We reviewed Jacks Pumpkin Spice Ale, Schlafly Pumkin Ale, Pumpking Impierial Ale, Paulaner Oktoberfest, and Ayinger Oktoberfest.
As always, Cheers!
This week we all decided to stick with our current theme and do the Boulevard Sampler pack. Keep in mind these packs are somewhat random depending on the season and when you happen to pick them up. In our pack we were lucky enough to get the Unfiltered Wheat, Dry Strout, Bully Porter, Pale Ale, Lunar Ale, and Bob's 4. Tune in and listen up.
Cheers!
First of all I would like to issue a formal apology to Samuel Adams on behalf of all of us here at Beer Club. We had been pretty rough on you in the past but the beers we had officially reviewed had not scored well with us. However the BrewMasters Sampler was absolutely exquisite and turned us all into believers and we look forward to trying more Samuel Adams products. But we will always remain honest and give it a fair rating.
Beer Club Episode 13 was our first official brewery night. We decided to do the New Belgian Brewery. In the sampler pack was Mothership Wit, Fat Tire, Old Cherry, and 1554. It was a pretty interesting night as most of us had not had anything from New Belgium Brewery other than their flagship beer Fat Tire.
As always, Cheers!
This is a short bonus episode recorded right after episode 12 inspired by some friends we met at the O'Fallon Brewery tour. They gave us a 6 pack sampler created by them from Goose Island products. In the sixer was the Goose Island IPA, Honkers Ale, and Harvest Ale. Thank you again to Katy and Adam for the great random act of kindness!
Prost!
Episode 11 we decided to do Ale's. Ale is a pretty broad category but we thought we would give it a shot. It was Danny's pick this time around and he wanted to do Ales but didn't seem to care what kind. So we have a pretty interesting selection. Tune in to find out more!
Cheers!
This week we decided to do Blue Collar Beers since it was Labor Day Weekend. Danny was out once again so Jessica who normally is the moderator jumped in as the guest reviewer. We only did 4 this week and our only stipilation was that you had to be able to find a 6 pack for under 6 bucks. Most of us were able to find 12 packs under 6 bucks so there was plenty of drinking done after the podcast was over.
A random selection this week. We all went out and just picked whatever peaked our interest. Since the pod cast started we havent done an awful lot random nights. We decided to take a chill pill for a bit and engage in some random madness. We will eventually begin doing category and theme nights again but its nice to do some episodes where we just pick whatever. Beer isn't an exact science and nor are we. =)
This week we reviewed Stouts; our chosen brews were Boulevard Dry Stout picked bu Justin, Samuel Adams Cream Stout picked by Danny, Youngs Double Chocolate Stout picked by Joey, Bell's Java Stout picked by Jared, and Guinness Extra Stout picked by Brad. Joey had a bit of a rough time downing the stouts but it was for the greater good. Check out the podcast for our full reviews.
Cheers from all of us here at St. Louis Beer Club!
